This range of pure sine wave inverters use low frequency switching with a large toroidal output transformer, to give efficiencies and surge capability much higher than other competing high frequency units - and with low standby power. This results in lower heating of the unit and lower wasted energy from the supplying batteries. Pure
sine wave inverters generate a clean waveform just like your mains
supply and are needed for delicate electrical or electronic items such
as stereos, laser printers, digital clocks, rechargeable tools and all
equipment with variable motor speed control such as bread makers,
